Old and New Energy Efficiency Labels of LED Lighting

The Old and New Table

On the left side of the picture you can see the old table of energy efficiency of lighting that was valid until 2020. Year. On the right-hand side is a new, valid table for the labeling of energy efficiency of lighting devices. The old one was abandoned because the technological potential of the product exceeded the expectations set by that table. If you compare the lowest class in the new table (F) that characterizes today’s low-quality products, you will see that under the old qualification it would have been even in class A+, which led to confusion among buyers. All energy-consuming products must be labeled from G to A at the point of sale, depending on which one they belong to. I don’t think it should be said that E.g. Class F produces only 85 lm/W, almost twice as efficient as Class C

Appearance of the energy map

The label on the right shows which class the product belongs to. To the left of the QR code is the projected electricity consumption of that device per 1000 hours of operation.
